Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Strengthening Policy Frameworks for Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation The objective of this consulting service is to support the Department of Disaster Management (DDM), the Bhutan Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs in formulating a series of policy reforms for enhancing disaster and climate resilience of the country in the context of disaster management (e.g., earthquake, landslides, floods), public health crisis, and climate change. The expected deliverables include (i) case studies on best practices and lessons learned from similar policies, acts, and national disaster management plans of other countries; (ii) review of the draft policy documents (e.g., Disaster Management Act, SOPs, guidelines, standards, and National Disaster Management Plan) and recommendations for improvement; and (iii) presentations and proceedings on a virtual knowledge exchange event with the DDM. The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
